Abstract
Limb deficiency is when individuals lose their limb’s normal function caused by amputations or congenital malformations. With the development of technology, people came out various method to deal with limb deficiency, and try to decrease its negative impacts as much as possible. In order to offer people a thoroughly guideline on what degree human have progressed on dealing with limb loss, this paper studies the limb prosthesis through various papers about different advancement in bionic limb technology. New materials, new design, and new techniques give people chances to upgrade bionic limbs. Looking through the bionic limb historically as well as functionally, this study found that the bionic limb is a prosthetic way people use to replace human original limb function by a artificial bionic limb.
