Abstract
Underwater acoustic communication is the main technical means of wireless information transmission in the ocean. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology has the advantages of high frequency band utilization and strong resistance to multipath fading. It is widely used in underwater acoustic communication. However, OFDM communication has the problem of high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which will lead to signal distortion and reduce communication efficiency. This paper proposes a PAPR suppression method for OFDM communication based on random jitter of cyclic prefix length. It can effectively reduce the probability that the initial phase of each group of subcarriers is the same or similar, and reduce the generation of peak to average power ratio from the source.
