Abstract
The combination of electromagnetic lens with wide-angle scanning capability and phased array can achieve high gain at low cost. At the same time, it can realize convenient scanning, so this combination has been studied extensively. In this paper, the metamaterial is used as the basic unit, and designing the phase distribution of the lens, finally the millimeter-wave electromagnetic lens with thin and wide angle is designed. The experimental results are consistent with the simulation results. The designed electromagnetic lens can realize 30° beam scanning by changing the feed position. In the future, the lens can be used in the territory of radar detection and communication to reduce the cost of antenna which has high frequency and high gain.
