Abstract
High-temperature superconducting (HTS) thin films exhibit a change in their electrical properties when exposed to optical radiation. The spectral characteristics of this electrical response were investigated by exposing HTS thin films to radiation from laser sources with wavelengths in the visible and infrared spectra. Experimental results are interpreted with regard to bolometric and/or nonequilibrium detection mechanisms.
