Flexible electronics have achieved a lot of attraction due to the increasing demand in the market. Single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) with semiconducting properties is one of the major players in this sector due to its flexibility, high carrier mobility, superb electrical properties, and consistent mechanical properties. The application of printing technology in flexible electronics has grown significantly in recent years, as these methods are easy to use, inexpensive, and work with a variety of materials which become an attractive choice for fabricating large-area electronic devices within a noticeably abbreviated time. Among all the printing technologies, Aerosol jet printer can print high resolution, precise electronic devices with minimum ink usage. However, the most challenging parts of this printing technology are the high mobility semiconducting layer and the thin pinhole free dielectric layer. In this work we will demonstrate the method of fabricating CNT field effect transistor (CNTFET) using Aerosol jet technique to find out the best possible outcome in terms of higher on/off switching ratio and lower gate threshold voltage. Due to these properties of the printed CNTFET, it can be used as several types of applications such as switching devices, sensors, radio frequency amplification and other various flexible electronic wearable devices.
