Abstract
Due to the complexity and nonlinearity of hydroelectric generators, timely and effective design of controller parameters is crucial for maintaining system stability. This paper adopts the theory of quadratic optimal systems and uses the Python Control library as a numerical calculation tool to optimize the controller. The numerical calculation results of the optimization algorithm for the water turbine governor show that the method is effective. As a result, the performance indicators of the water turbine regulation system have been improved. Nowadays, Python can run directly on many opensource microprocessor platforms. The research results of this article contribute to the practical application of optimal control in turbine speed control.
