Abstract
This article proposes a method for constructing a finite element calculation model of tank structures with measured defects based on improved IDW algorithm and three-dimensional laser technology. Taking a petroleum tank that has been in service for nearly ten years as an example, the specific implementation process of this method is explained. The research results show that the improved IDW algorithm results can meet the actual situation of the tank structure. Based on finite element analysis software, further modal analysis and structural strength analysis under experimental water load are conducted on tank structures with geometric defects. The analysis results show that geometric defects greatly reduce the natural frequency of the structure, weakening the dynamic stiffness of the structure; the calculated stress at the location of geometric defects is much higher than the structural stress of an ideal tank, and the impact of geometric defects on the tank structure cannot be ignored.
