Abstract
With the rapid development of information and communication technology and smart grids, AMI systems are gradually adopting communication units to achieve data collection and control operations for large-scale installation and deployment of smart meters, charging piles, low-voltage distributed photovoltaic, and other measuring equipment on site. In order to standardize the interface between measurement equipment and communication units, achieve communication unit exchange, and reduce the construction and operation costs of AMI systems, this paper analyzes the problems of current standards, studies the characteristic parameters of various communication technologies, designs the interaction model, signaling frame structure, and information domain description between measurement equipment and communication units, and verifies and tests the interface protocol. The verification results show that the interface protocol can achieve the exchange of communication units between different communication technologies and manufacturers, improve the compatibility of AMI systems with future communication technologies, and provide technical references for AMI system construction under the goal of energy transformation.
