Abstract
This paper describes the advances in one- and two-dimensional FT-IR time-resolved spectroscopy (FT-IR TRS). The results of 1D and 2D FT-IR TRS analyses of a nematic 5CB liquid crystal have revealed new information regarding the sub-molecular mechanism of the electric-field-induced reorientational transition of liquid crystals.
