Abstract
In this paper we present a multichannel optical correlator for parallel pattern recognition. This architecture takes profit of the periodic pixelated structure of the Spatial Light Modulators. This structure produces several diffraction orders and each one of them may be considered as an information channel. An additional quadratic phase introduced in the filters separates the channels in the correlation plane. We give experimental and numerical results.
