Abstract
Recent advances in conditional event algebra and random set modeling hold the promise of enabling a systematic and consistent approach to information fusion in the context of statistical signal processing. In this paper we consider three potential applications of this approach: (1) iterated image estimation; (2) prior models for medical image reconstruction; and (3) knowledge-aided modeling of complex systems.
