Abstract
A combined optimal K-L expansion method (COKLT) is proposed in this paper. The first (c-1) axes of COKLT are Fisher criterion optimal, and the others are the entropy criterion optimal. The experimental results on CENPARMI handwritten numeral database show that the proposed method is effective.
