Abstract
The amplitude of the space-charge field created inside the Bi12TiO20 photorefractive crystal was determined using phase demodulation technique with ac-field enhancement. Results were compared with ones obtained from the two-wave mixing gain measurements. Clear discrepancy between the results was found.
