Abstract
3-dimentional image measurement is still an important field. A measurement system for the aim requires sufficiently fast speed, compactness, and high cost performance. To meet these requirements, we have developed a rangefinder system that consists of an image sensor with an electronic pattern mask. It was shown that one range image, theoretically, can be obtained in about 0.025 [s] by using the system. However, it was necessary to make acquisition time longer since the output voltage from the image sensor was too small (about 1.0mV). One range image was obtained in 128 [s] really. In this paper, we propose a speed-up technique of the rangefinder system by introducing an integration circuit. A simple circuit is adopted as the integration circuit from a perspective of a cost performance. By using the circuit, measurement speed is improved by 2400 times (0.053 [s / one range image]), and output voltages are improved by about 10 times (about 10mV), theoretically. From experimental results, there are some problems with the measurement by using the circuit. However, it is also shown that the system has a possibility to be improved at the same level as the theoretical value in the method by solving the problems.
