Abstract
In this work, we extend the use of the gain-loss technique in order to enhance the long-range capabilities of Brillouinbased distributed sensors. In particular, we take advantage of the use of an unbalanced pair of Stokes and anti-Stokes lines, in order to better compensate for SBS spectra distortion resulting from pump depletion. Numerical results confirmed the validity of the approach.
