1 January 2002 Fractional correlation filter for fuzzy associative memories

The optical fractional correlation is a very useful tool for partially controllable spatially varying correlation-based pattern recognition. It is shown to be a good match to fuzzy associative memory that performs partial fuzzy associations in parallel. We exploit the potential application of the spatially varying fractional correlation in implementing parallel fuzzy association. Computer simulations illustrate our conclusions.
