Course Instructor
SC050: Frequency Conversion in Second Order Materials
This is an introductory laser course in second harmonic generators and other similar nonlinear frequency conversion devices. It covers what you need to know to make it work in the laboratory and in the field, and what you need to know to buy and specify the crystal for your application. It will cover a brief survey of the necessary basic theory, and the following applications: internal and external cavity devices, single pass-through devices, harmonic generators and optical parametric amplifiers, high average power devices.
