The current perception of smart airport runway information mainly relies on single-point sensors, resulting in the detection of blind spots and cumbersome data matching, which cannot fully reflect the overall operational status of aircraft on the runway, and it is difficult to meet the requirements of efficient operation and full-time safety of the airport runway. To address the above-mentioned deficiencies, this paper relies on the construction of Ezhou Huahu International Airport in Hubei Province, China, and uses large-scale ultra-weak FBG sensing array to perceive the runway surface information. Through these sensors, the paper achieves all-domain, full-time real-time perception, analysis, management, and representation of multi-dimensional dynamic information on airport runways. The characteristic functions of airport operation and maintenance based on large-scale ultra-weak FBG sensing array are described briefly. The airport runway management system formed by combining features and functions can reflect the status of the airport runway in real time, provide a strong guarantee for the safety and operation of the airport, and provide a reference for the construction and system construction of the airport runway in the future.
