Short bio:
Peter E. Andersen received his MSc.E.E. in 1991 and his Ph.D. in 1995 from the Technical University of Denmark. He is with DTU Health Tech at the Technical University of Denmark and group leader of the Biophotonic Imaging Group. He is also Head of DTU Health Tech PhD School.
He has more than 20 years of research experience within biomedical optics, light source technology, optical coherence tomography systems, nonlinear microscopy and translation of these modalities into clinical applications, including endoscopic applications. Dr. Andersen is currently editorial board member of Journal of Biomedical Optics.
Main research interests:
Biomedical optics; optical coherence tomography and optical properties for diagnosing of diseases; nonlinear microscopy; multimodal optical imaging; endoscopy applications.
