Sheng-Hsiung Yang received his bachelor’s degree in science from Department of Applied Chemistry at National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Taiwan in 1998. After being one-year master student, he was adapted to the Ph.D. student program in Department of Applied Chemistry. He obtained his dual doctoral degrees in materials science from University of Nantes (France) and in applied chemistry from NCTU in 2004. After being 5-year postdoctoral researcher, he joined the Institute of Lighting and Energy Photonics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in 2009 as an assistant professor and was promoted to full professor in 2022. He also served as acting director of the Institute of Lighting and Energy Photonics during August 2017–July 2018 and Institute of Photonic System during August 2018–January 2020. Currently he is director of the Institute of Lighting and Energy Photonics since February 2022. His research interests include the synthesis of ionic conjugated polymers, preparation of nanostructured metal oxides and perovskite materials, and fabrication of conventional/inverted devices for photovoltaic and light-emitting applications.
