Takanori Nomura is a full professor in the Department of Opto-Mechatronics at Wakayama University, Japan. He received his BE and ME degrees in applied physics in 1986 and 1988, respectively, both from Osaka University, Japan. He received the PhD degree in applied physics from Osaka University in 1991. He was a research associate at Kobe University, Japan, from 1991 to 1995. He was an assistant professor at Wakayama University from 1995 to 1999. He was a visiting associate professor at the University of Connecticut from 1998 to 1999. He was an associate professor at Wakayama University from 1999 to 2009. His research interests include digital optics, information photonics, and optical instrumentation.
