Because x-ray image has low contrast resolution and edge sharpness, this paper presents a novel medical image
segmentation base on level set. The traditional Chan-Vese model base on simplify Mumford-Shah model can not
segment images with intensity inhomogeneity. We structure energy function in one point's local region; partial
differential equations (PDEs) of curve evolution are obtained by minimization of the energy functional. We can obtain
global minimum when we expand it to the whole image. Our model can be used to segment images with intensity
inhomogeneity. Experimental results verify the effectives and robustness of this segmentation method.
