Blepharoptosis, a drooping eyelid symptom that brings widespread vexation to millions around the globe, is commercially treated mainly by surgeries. In response to the limitations of surgery id est side effects, this review analysed different causes of blepharoptosis, provided the potential explanations for surgical side effects, and investigated other conservative treatments as possible alternatives for surgery. The realm of traditional treatments covered methodologies stemming from both Eastern and Western Iatrologies. Overall, conventional treatments indicate, though lower confidence for efficacy, fewer side effects, and together the treatments shed light on the possibility of combined usage for better results.
