Abstract
A laser assisted fluorescence method followed by high-speed image processing has been newly developed for the rapid in-situ detection of latent prints on several kinds of surfaces. It is particularly effective for new building materials, leathers and adhesive tapes, sometimes even an extended period has elapsed. The new apparatus has already been used by police department in several countries and has contributed to law enforcement.
