Abstract
Personal identification is a very important technique in the computer vision. Recognition of biological feature (e.g., lip) is broadly applied because of its uniqueness and convenience. This paper proposed a framework for lip print recognition using Local Binary Pattern based on bit plane (BLBP). The BLBP features were first obtained from lip print. In order to achieve robust recognition, the BLBP features were normalized and Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Gaussian radial basis function was used for classification. The results showed that the proposed framework was more effective and accurately comparing with other methodologies.
