Abstract
In the tunnel constructions with a small curve radius, factors such as TBM Mode selection &design, Segment design and shield machine attitude control play a vital role. By analyzing the key points of tunnel construction with small curve radius and the characteristics of the active articulated shield structure, we deeply explore the relationship of the shield attitude, shield position relationship between segment and ground, which is compared with the characteristics of the passive articulated shield and double articulated shield. This paper could provide a reference for the selection and design of shield machine for the small curve radius tunnel construction in the future.
