Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe recent advances in liquid toner technology and their applications, both present and potential. As a preface, it is important to keep in mind that liquid toners represent only a segment of an overall imaging system that also incorporates hardware, media and quite possibly, pertinent software. Recent advances in toner design has occurred as a direct outcome of simultaneous advances in the design of the overall imaging system.
