Abstract
Objective: In order to measure the microscopic surface topography characteristics of geological profiles, polarization imaging method is used to realize multi-dimensional imaging. Methods: Firstly, the polarization imaging method of Stokes parameter analysis is introduced. Secondly, the measurement method of Stokes parameter is introduced. Finally, imaging is performed using a polarization imaging system based on this method. Results: The microscopic polarization imaging of the geological section was realized by this method, and the polarization dimension surface topography information of the microscopic characteristics of the geological section was obtained. By analyzing the degree of linear polarization, the identification of different samples is realized. Conclusion: The polarization state of light contains the information of the object. Through polarization imaging of the microscopic characteristics of the geological section, the surface characteristic information of the geological section can be obtained from the polarization dimension, and different samples can be identified by polarization information.
