Abstract

Based on the current situation of sports events research in China, this study sorts out the developmental evolution of high-quality research in China and research hotspots, in order to contribute to the theoretical basis of sports events research and provide reference to the research of related scholars. The study shows that the research on sports events in China has received high attention from scholars, and its research content mainly includes: (1) legal protection of issues such as sports event broadcasting; (2) the role of sports events in the development of sports industry; (3) the operation and management of large sports events; (4) sports events and sports tourism development; (5) the role of sports events on urban development, etc.
