Abstract
Studying the influence of the central bank's digital currency on the payment system has important practical significance for the planning and construction of the payment system and surrounding services. By narrowing the research sample, analyzing the payment scenarios in university campuses, the different forms of campus payment systems from the elementary to the latest stages, and establishing payment system models based on the use of central bank's digital currency in different forms of payment systems. The payment efficiency model is established by integrating factors such as the efficiency of consumer payment, the efficiency of business capital withdrawal from merchants, the retention time of deposited funds in payment management institutions, and the loss ratio of funds in the transaction process. Using this payment efficiency model, combined with the comparative consideration of the length of the key path of payment transactions, analyze the positive role of central bank's digital currency in promoting the upgrade of the payment system and the improvement of payment efficiency.
