Abstract
It is a technical difficulty to eliminate the influence of severe visual occlusion in the 3D visualization of urban buildings on the digital earth. Aiming at increasingly complex virtual scenes, we proposed a graph visualization algorithm named Urban Building Dis-occlusion (UBD). The UBD algorithm consists of three parts: 1. Inspired by the skyline, constructing urban building feature points through bounding box collision detection to draw building lines with bidirectional sampling; 2. Multi-type control point layout to ensure smooth building lines; 3. Visual pyramid lens (VPL)elimination neighboring building occlusion enhances visual attention. Compared with the traditional skyline, the experimental results show that UBD can effectively reduce the visual interference of buildings to the building line, and has good timeliness, which fully meets our needs in practical projects. The algorithm provides a novel building-line style for graph visualization, and a new VPL interaction for 3D obstacle avoidance using viewpoint.
