Abstract
Metal detectors are widely used in military, police and civilian fields, especially it can detect both magnetic and non-magnetic metals have a broad market prospect. Aiming at the problems that the performance of electromagnetic equilibrium detectors is affected by electromagnetic interference of environment and the closed-loop adaptive processing time is too long. A rapid suppression technique for Electromagnetic Interference of electromagnetic detectors is studied in this paper, which is a combination of closed-loop adaptive processing and open-loop adaptive processing. This method can greatly shorten electromagnetic interference of environment suppression processing time (such as 5 second to 1 second). It can meet the requirement of rapid data output rate of the detector. The out filed test’s results show that this method greatly reduces the noise base level of the detector by more than 12dB, and the open-loop adaptive is completed within 1 second, which improves the detection and response ability of the electromagnetic detector effectively.
