Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the calculation method of engineering earth volume under complex terrain conditions of the Yellow River dam bank, using traditional section method and square grid method, as well as introducing the DEM method to measure and analyze the volume of the Yellow River dam bank. Through a comparison and analysis of experimental data, it is concluded that the DEM method has the advantages of convenient calculation, strong applicability, and accurate results. Firstly, the geographical situation and complex terrain characteristics of the Yellow River dam bank are introduced. Then, the traditional section method and square grid method for measuring earth volume are described in detail, along with the basic principles and application methods of the DEM method. The experimental data and analysis results demonstrate that the DEM method has high measurement accuracy and precision, and can effectively solve the problems associated with the traditional methods when dealing with complex terrain conditions. In summary, the research results of this paper have certain theoretical significance and practical application value in improving the calculation method of earth volume for the Yellow River dam bank project and enhancing the accuracy and reliability of earth volume calculation. The findings provide important support for improving the efficiency and accuracy of Yellow River management and administration, including scheduling, flood control, and disaster warning.
