Abstract
A series of titanium modified alumina materials were prepared by sol-gel method. NiMo/Al2O3 catalysts were obtained by impregnating the titanium modified alumina into nickel-molybdenum precursor solution. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were characterized using a series of characterization methods. The introduction of Ti optimized the surface acidity distribution of the catalyst and formed a certain amount of B acid centers. It also weakened the metal-support interaction, which was beneficial to the formation of NiMoS II active phase with high intrinsic HDS activity. The reaction activity evaluation results showed that Ti modification significantly increased the proportion of DDS pathway in DBT hydrodesulfurization products.
