Abstract
To address the issue of intensity information loss caused by saturation at the center of starlight spots, this study employs three methods: multiple Gaussian curve fitting, anisotropic Gaussian surface fitting, and two-dimensional cubic spline interpolation, to accurately fit starlight spots. By using the refitted starlight model, the intensity information of the saturated region is estimated. For direct fitting of unsaturated spots, the accuracy of all three methods does not exceed 3%. In occlusion simulation experiments, the two-dimensional spline interpolation fitting method demonstrates higher precision compared to the other two methods. It is noteworthy that the two-dimensional spline interpolation fitting method does not rely on a specific starlight model, making it more versatile and robust.
