Circular harionic expansion of twodiiensional
coiplex functions has proven
to be a very useful tool for the design
and experiiental realization of rotationally
invariant pattern recognition correlation
filters (1). Good practical results
iay be obtained provided that the choice
of the harionic order (nuiber of the ten
of the expansion) and the polar coordinates
origin taken are both optimized (2,3).
