Abstract
Extinction ratio is an important characteristic of polarization-maintaining fibers and their in-line fiber devices. A novel measuring system based on the bidirectional-double-path measurement proves to be of advantages over previous ones. The experimental results show that high precise measurements of extinction ratio (error
