Abstract

A gyrotron based around an 11T superconducting magnet is currently being operated at Strathclyde University. As with our previously developed gyrotrons, it makes use of a two electrode configuration with a field immersed, field emission cold cathode¹.The initial results from this system, in the lower frequency range up to 110GHz, will be presented.
