We present a method for the compensation of the bispectrum photon bias terms caused by the extended photoevents of an image intensifier. An analytical form for the 4-dimensional photon bias terms is given and the compensation method is described. Only if the bias terms are compensated, reconstructions with high resolution and high photometric accuracy can be obtained. An application of the method to speckle data of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1386 is shown.
