Abstract

In this paper we explore the use of 3D disks for the construction of networks with extremely large storage capacity. 3D disks can store up to 10¹² weights per disk. In this paper we discuss how 3D disks are used to implement an optical neural network and then derive the capacity and speed of the resulting architecture.
