Abstract
This work addresses the issues related to the radiometric, or photometric, accuracy of Fourier- transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrophotometers. In particular, the sample induced error in the radiometric measurements is investigated. Measurement results for the transmittance of a set of optical filters are presented. The optical density (OD) of these filters ranges from 0.3 to 5 between 2 and 25 micrometers wavelengths. Future research in the direction of improving the radiometric accuracy is summarized.
