Abstract
One of the most powerful features of the computer is the ability to deal with symbolic formulae. Three of the most widely distributed computer algebra systems: Derive XM, Mathematic and Reduce have been tested for evaluation of exact formulae of fifth-order aberrations of GRIN media of cylindrical symmetry.
