Abstract
This paper gives an overview of the recent developments of non-rotationally symmetric optical elements (NOEs) for beam shaping of high power laser radiation at the Lehrstuhl fur Lasertechnik and the Fraunhofer-Institut fur Lasertechnik. Several applications of NOEs in the IR- and UV-wavelength region demonstrate the innovative potential of NOEs for laser materials processing.
