Abstract
This report is concerned with investigations of real-time manipulation of polystyrene particles using a focused laser beam modulated in phase by dynamic holograms. The phase-only hologram generating in a computer-addressed spatial light modulator is calculated by the Gerheberg-Saxton algorithm to obtain the intensity pattern in the focal plane of an objective lens. The particles are trapped by a multi-spot array of the laser beam generated by the phase-only hologram and manipulated dynamically and continuously in real time.
