Abstract
Law-angular laser light scattering method (LALLS), using Rayleigh criterion as well as Mie method, allows one to investigation of suspended particles within the range of 0.1 to 2000 µm of their sizes when the refractive index of the suspended matter as well as the dispersing medium are known. The method bases on the fact that the diffraction angle is inversely proportional to the size of a suspended particle. The advantage of the method is direct and quick measure of the volume distribution of the suspended particles. LALLS method was used here to estimate the volume concentration of suspension in the Western Odra River waters.
