Abstract
With the rapid development of relative technologies the cameras for remote sensing are also developing in the direction of wide spectral band and large field of view Because of the limited pixels, the existing TDI CCDs can't meet the requirement of large field of view. So, it is necessary to connect two or more TDI CCDs together by using a stitching method. In this paper, the principle, technique request and method of mechanical interleaving assembly are investigated, then the focal plane assembly structure is designed, the space positions of the pixels were obtained by monitoring directly the pixels of TDI CCD using microscopic system carried on an air rails with linearity in less than 2 μm/m. Then, the assembly precision of 4 TDI CCD assembled focal plane was measured after dynamic and thermal test, the result shows that the error is less than 4 μm. The result proves that this method is precise, feasible and can achieve the high precision measurement of long focal plane.
