Abstract
The paper presents the design procedure that makes possible identification of the optimal parameters of the proposed light sources. These precise uniform light sources have a form of several or multiple optically connected integrating spheres. Due to high photometric and metrological characteristics the proposed light sources can be considered as one of the best candidates for VIIR calibration in optical range 0.4 – 2.3 μm. The paper discusses the principal engineering aspects connected with the design of these light sources such as optimal selection of integrating sphere geometry, halogen lamps, materials and etc.
