Abstract
The staring array is the most popular design today. The major components are the optics, detector, imaging processing (discussed in Chapter 9, Image processing), flat-panel display, and the observer. Environmental effects include line-of-sight motion and atmospheric turbulence (discussed in Chapter 6, Environmental MTFs).
