Abstract
The recent advancement of modern information telecommunication technology and its use in e-health/telemedicine plays an increasingly important role in facilitating access to diagnostic services, even to people living in the most remote areas, and in the least developed parts of the world. With more than five billion subscriptions worldwide, current cell phones not only make calls, but send and receive text messages, take color photos, download videos and music, browse the Internet, etc. For example, the overall number of text messages sent worldwide tripled between 2007 and 2010, from an expected 1.8 trillion to 6.1 trillion, with about 200,000 messages sent every second.
