Abstract
The theory and methods of adaptive noise cancelling (ANC) are discussed briefly. By theoretical analysis and experimental studies, the ANC technique is successfully applied in the straightness measurement system based on optical activity. The experimental results of various alignment measurements for long and short distances are processed by the ANC technique, and it shows that the compensation effect after filtering under different conditions is 30% to 80%.
